Head to the Victor Hugo Market, a mecca for Toulouse gastronomy. Stroll among the stalls, then go upstairs for lunch in one of the lively restaurants much loved by the locals.
After lunch, visit a museum: the Musée des Augustins, the Fondation Bemberg, the Musée Paul-Dupuy... Paintings, sculptures and archaeological treasures offer a wonderful break in the afternoon.

Then stroll through the Saint-Étienne district, one of the most beautiful in Toulouse. With its mansions and elegant streets, it's the ideal place to walk around and do a little shopping.
At the end of the day, head to the banks of the Garonne for a stroll along the river, just as the light begins to shine on the city's brick buildings.
