Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel

This day trip takes in two of the Tarn major sites

Departure from Toulouse at 9:30am (check in at 9:15am), arrival in Albi about 10:30am.
Departure from Cordes sur Ciel at 5:30pm, arrival about 6:30pm.

What to see in Albi? Sainte-Cécile cathedral with its castle-like appearance is a masterpiece of brick architecture. Inside, you’ll discover superb colourful frescoes from the 16th century. The choir of the Chanoines surprises with its finely sculpted stone decoration. The Toulouse-Lautrec museum displays works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who was born in Albi in 1864. The gardens of the Palais de la Berbie offer a magnificent shady promenade overlooking the river Tarn. Self-tour, you can enjoy at your own pace.

What to see in Cordes-sur-Ciel ? This medieval bastide perched high above the Cérou Valley is now home to a number of artists’ studios and art galleries.

Carcassonne

Comtal castle visit and self-tour of the cité de Carcassonne

Departure from Toulouse at 09:30 am (check in at 09:15 am), arrival in Carcassonne around 10:30 am.
Back to the bus at 4:15 pm for a départir at 4:30 am for a return to Toulouse around 05:45pm.

For this excursion, you have the option of including admission to the Comtal castle in your booking. Allow 2 hours for the visit to the Comtal castle.

Castle Comtal visit:
– The ticket is valid for the whole day of your visit.
– It’s a skip the line ticket.
– It will be given to you in the morning when the bus leaves.
– It is included in the €32 packs for adults.

The entry for the Comtal castle is free for :
– Under 18 (with family and outside school groups).
– 18-25 years old (nationals of EU countries and regular non-European residents on French territory).
– Disabled person and their companion.
– On the “Journée du patrimoine” days in Septembre (check dates on the Carcassonne website).
A valid proof must be presented without which access to the visit will be refused.
