JOAN MIRO : PROTESTATION
Bringing together nearly 200 works, this exhibition reveals a free-spirited, daring and committed Joan Miró. Paintings, sculptures, tapestries, films and costumes trace his career and his experiments in challenging the conventions of art. Shaped by the Spanish Civil War and Franco’s dictatorship, his creative work became an act of resistance. Minéraux, bien plus que des cailloux
Through an immersive exhibition design and exceptional collections, this exhibition traces the history of minerals from prehistory to the present day. Quartz, emerald, malachite and fluorite reveal their secrets, their uses and their role in humanity’s major advances, whilst inviting visitors to reflect on the environmental challenges linked to the extraction of mineral resources. From scientific and industrial applications to the worlds of literature, cinema and video games, minerals enrich both our daily lives and our imagination.

Lay Up
Layup presents “Parallel Worlds”, an urban art exhibition bringing together 73 artists invited to transform a 5,000 m² building through murals, installations and original works. Spanning six floors, the exhibition route becomes a space for artistic discovery, accompanied by a programme featuring introductory graffiti workshops, guided tours and various events.

Les Voyages de l’Aéroflorale II
The gigantic flying greenhouse of the Aéroflorale II has landed at the Halle de La Machine. ‘Les Voyages de l’Aéroflorale II’ recounts the adventures of this strange aircraft and its scientific laboratory. A truly extraordinary flying greenhouse, the Aéroflorale takes you on a fascinating journey through science, poetry and imagination. After criss-crossing five continents — from Buenos Aires to Montreal, Hamburg to Santiago de Chile — this astonishing living machine is stopping off at the Halle de La Machine in Toulouse for the whole year.

Gauls, yet Romans!
Through masterpieces from the National Archaeology Museum, the exhibition explores the emergence of a rich and complex Gallo-Roman society. Everyday objects, stelae and sculptures reveal life, beliefs and customs in Gaul following Caesar’s conquest. A cultural dialogue emerges between Celtic heritage and Roman influences. The exhibition also looks back at the early days of archaeology in the 19th century, driven by Napoleon III and the excavations at Alesia, whilst showcasing the evolution of current research.
