About

Here, there's no need to fear the gods and heroes as we travel back in time to ancient Tolosa.

At the Musée Saint-Raymond, Toulouse's museum of archaeology, you are entering a place that will leave you breathless.

On the 2nd floor, the objects on display and the models evoke Toulouse and its region in the time of the Gauls, the Romans and the Visigoths.
On the 1st floor, you'll never know whether you're looking at the portraits in the gallery or the emperors staring back at you. Then come the mythological sculptures, with these astonishing sculpted reliefs representing the Labours of Hercules. Head underground to discover a veritable archaeological site: a former cemetery in which an astonishing vestige, a lime kiln, has been preserved.

For a moment out of time, you can enjoy a coffee in the small exotic garden with its unusual and little-known charm (open seasonally).
