LE CHATEAU D'EAU

About
Housed in a former water tower built in the early 19th century, Le Château d'Eau was founded in 1974 by Toulouse photographer Jean Dieuzaide.
It was the first public gallery in France devoted exclusively to photography, and for 50 years it has pursued its mission of welcoming photographers and presenting exhibitions of the great names in photography as well as young talent.
The Château d'Eau documentation centre, which was set up in 1974 and became a municipal public library in 2020, boasts a wealth of specialist photographic resources that are accessible to all.
