Discover Toulouse in the Renaissance
Stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center in search of the private mansions built during Toulouse’s Golden Age by “pastel” merchants and the city’s Capitouls. By the 14th century, Toulouse had grown so much that it became one of the most populous and dynamic cities in the kingdom, thanks in particular to the watermills along the Garonne.

The gourmet walk
Follow a delicious journey through a Toulouse market. When heritage discovery meets the tasting of local gastronomy, both your eyes and your taste buds are in for a feast. For centuries, the Ville Rose was shaped by its rural roots: the famous Toulouse violet and the vegetable gardens of its suburbs enriched an ancestral expertise in agronomy (which led to the founding of the future National School of Agronomy in 1909).
