WEEK-END À VENISE

An exceptional programme invites you to travel to the heart of the famous city of the Doges: guided tours, screenings and other events to (re)discover the Fondation Bemberg and the Hôtel d'Assézat to the rhythm of the gondolas, canals and carnival.

Venice, the city of Georges Bemberg's heart, has never ceased to inspire travellers, artists and dreamers. From Carpaccio to Canaletto, from Veronese to Tintoretto and Titian, the masters of Venice, from the Renaissance to the 18ᵉ century, hold a special place in his collection. A passion that is shared with you today and which will be celebrated on the occasion of this exceptional weekend. And for the occasion, a reduced rate will be applied to people in fancy dress!

Saturday 21 February
The day begins with an introduction to the theme and a screening of the film Casanova, a teenager in Venice, followed by a discussion with the public. The afternoon continues with flash visits dedicated to the great Venetian painters and the cinema, interspersed with a costume parade through the museum.

Sunday 22nd February
Sunday focuses on the history and evolution of Venice through flash visits devoted to the splendour and decline of the city in the XVIIIᵉ century, artistic rivalries and Venice's place in cinema. Throughout the afternoon, a Venetian mask-making workshop is offered with free access.
