MARCHE COUVERT VICTOR HUGO

If there's one market not to be missed in Toulouse, it's this one! It's one of the city's most popular markets. More than 80 stallholders share the stands, offering an unlimited choice of fresh and regional produce. Fishmongers, butchers, pork butchers, tripe-makers and poulterers rub shoulders with greengrocers, bakers and pastry-makers, cheese-makers and cream-makers. But you'll also find caterers, wine merchants and excellent spice and olive stalls. You can grab a bite to eat from one of the market barrels, but the originality of the site lies in the restaurants on the first floor of the market hall, which showcase the local produce sold on the ground floor.
