MOSQUÉE DU MIRAIL (JOURNEES DU PATRIMOINE)

Accompanied by volunteers, take a guided tour through the various areas of the site: the library, the prayer hall, the educational area and the garden.

The tour offers the chance to discover the building’s contemporary architecture, trace the history of its creation through a ten-panel exhibition, and gain a better understanding of the role of a mosque as a vibrant community space at the heart of the city. Beyond prayer, it also hosts cultural, educational and community-focused activities.

There is also a space dedicated to raising awareness of responsible behaviour and environmental conservation, in line with the initiatives led by the mosque.

A two-part exhibition is presented here:
- The first part, ‘Mosques of the World’, brings together large-format photographs of the world’s most beautiful and iconic mosques, from the oldest masterpieces to contemporary structures.

- The second part, ‘Mosque Ornamentation’, showcases the art of decoration, calligraphy and geometric patterns, as well as how these vary across different regions of the world.

Presented along the visitor route, this exhibition can be explored at your own pace or with a guide.
