LEVER DE RIDEAU AU THÉÂTRE DU CAPITOLE

Here’s a quick tour to take you through the aisles to the theatre’s best seats. Whilst the dancers, musicians and singers take a breather between performances, the guide will take the opportunity to lead you on a tour where you can breathe in the scent of make-up, velvet and wood, and watch from a distance as the stagehands work to hoist, carry and dismantle the set pieces. For safety reasons, you won’t be going behind the scenes, but you will be exploring every floor!

The artists’ entrance gives you a sense of the space dedicated to the comings and goings of the performers in this world of its own. Then, after the reception hall and the foyers, the guide takes you up to ‘paradise’ before heading back down to the balcony and finally to the stalls. Each stage holds its own share of surprises: stunning views of the vast horseshoe-shaped auditorium, rumours and anecdotes that give you a sense of the creative and production potential of Toulouse’s famous Théâtre du Capitole.
