The Musée des Augustins is reopening its doors after a two-week closure! Following its reopening last December, the museum has now completed its major refurbishment.
The Musée des Augustins unveils its completely redesigned Gothic galleries. Situated at the heart of the former convent, the sacristy, the Notre-Dame de Pitié gallery and the chapter house are once again home to their artworks following a major restoration programme and a new exhibition layout.
Spanning from the 13th to the early 16th century, the exhibition brings together medieval sculptures and paintings, notably including *Notre-Dame de Grâce*, a masterpiece of southern Gothic sculpture. Costumes, armour, heraldry and the history of attitudes also enrich the visitor experience.
