About
Listed as a historic monument, the former Augustinian monastery provides an exceptional setting (Gothic cloister, vaulted rooms, monumental staircase, grand salons, etc.) for discovering a rich collection of paintings and sculptures dating from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
Some of the greatest names in the history of art (Le Pérugin, Rubens, Delacroix, Ingres and Rodin....) rub shoulders with major figures on the Toulouse scene, from history painting to orientalism, including the fascinating canvases of Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant and Édouard Debat-Ponsan.
The tour features paintings and sculptures in an immersive scenography that invites visitors to rediscover the works in a new light.
The museum has been designed with the public in mind, and is now even more accessible thanks to a range of media tools.
The museum's boutique-library-café, nestling under superb brick vaults, offers a refined selection of books and objects inspired by the collections, as well as a gourmet break featuring local produce.
The gradual reopening of the museum continues in step with the work in progress: parts of the cloister are undergoing restoration work until spring 2027, while the church and Gothic areas will be added to the tour in 2026.
