LES JARDINS DE LA LIGNE
About
The Jardins de la Ligne invite young and old alike on a journey in the company of the pioneers of the Latécoère and Aéropostale airlines, who linked Toulouse and Santiago in Chile during the interwar years.
They flank the historic runway from which the pioneers of commercial aviation first took flight and retrace this fabulous human and industrial adventure. Covering 2ha, you can stroll through the landscapes and ambiances that they explored as they flew over 3 continents.
Every garden evokes one of the 8 countries visited thanks to the different plant species, soil types, rocks, colours and topography.
These gardens form part of a great cultural ensemble, the Runway of Giants, which also features the Halle de la Machine and the Aéropostale remembrance space.
