QUATRE MAINS

After receiving a mysterious letter, two former classmates from the Nice Conservatoire meet up to play Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor, a piece they had learnt thirty years earlier. This gathering around the piano brings back many memories and rekindles the emotions of their teenage years.

It is a story of learning, of choices (and non-choices…) that shape the course of our lives. But it also explores the place of music and art in our daily lives, and how access to them varies depending on our social backgrounds. One instrument, four hands: a deeply sincere piece, brought to life by two artists who are both exceptional actors and vibrant pianists.
