About
Stéphanie Mansy explores the limits of drawing through immersive forms, living matter and memorial gestures. Her work, acclaimed by major institutions, is now making a name for itself on the contemporary drawing scene. She visited the various sites of the Saint-Béat marble quarry
marble quarry in Saint-Béat, in the Pyrenees, to draw and collect marble dust. She then continued her studies and sketches in the collections of the Musée des Augustins and the Musée des Arts Précieux Paul-Dupuy.
The works Syntone 1 and 2, vast compositions combining details and panoramic views in black and white, unfold like a second skin in the Augustins garden. The artist invites us to follow her journey, both physical and mental, through the landscape. The Musée des Arts Précieux Paul-Dupuy presents the original drawings and other documents used to create the monumental works.
