A symbol of daring and excellence, Concorde is a testament to the collective talent of those who have pushed back the boundaries of what is possible. Through this day, the museum is affirming that the aeronautical professions are open to all. By showcasing inspiring women's careers, the event is encouraging new generations to dare to embark on these careers of the future, regardless of gender.
To mark the day, the museum is offering a rich and inspiring programme of talks, meetings and immersive experiences. The "Supersonic Women" conference will focus on women who have made their mark in the cockpit and broken the sound barrier, followed by exceptional encounters with Farida Ghomrani (cabin crew on the Air France Concorde), Laurence Keniston (cabin crew on the British Airways Concorde), Sandrine Kieffer (pilot on the Beluga) and Marie Automne, air traffic controller at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. Discussions with Women in Aerospace will enrich these inspiring testimonials.
As for visits, you can embark on a symbolic Paris-New York journey aboard the legendary Concorde Fox Charlie, which will be exceptionally open, discover Concorde's technical secrets or take advantage of a storytelling tour for children. Artistic activities, a participative fresco by Envol Junior Études (ENAC), a thematic quiz, a simulator and a card game with the Virtu'ailes association also punctuate the weekend. Finally, you can enjoy an immersive virtual reality experience at the controls of an Extra 300, to feel the intensity of flying for the duration of a flight.
