Our story:
Founded in 1946 by Marcel Garrigou, and taken over in 1976 by his son Roland, the company has remained a family-run, independent business that has managed to keep pace with the changing needs of the people of Toulouse.
Our history in a few dates?
1946
Marcel Garrigou set up MIDICAOUTCHOUC in Place Esquirol, with a 100 m2 shop selling mainly rubber goods.
1956
MIDICAOUTCHOUC diversifies its range to include items for the home and leisure and becomes MIDICA.
1976
At the age of 30, Roland GARRIGOU, son of the founder, takes over management of the shop.
1987
Creation of the GEFIROGA holding company, which brings together the various family companies (Intersport and Midica) and is now run by Roland's children, Sophie and Olivier Garrigou.
1991
A number of refurbishments are carried out, including the installation of transparent lifts in the heart of the shop.
2003
The front of the shop was completely refurbished to give it a more contemporary Toulouse identity, with pink bricks and a large glass roof.
2019
MIDICA opens a new chapter in its history with a completely restructured shop and a renewed offer to better meet the needs of the people of Toulouse.
Midica's restaurant, Gigiland, opens its doors on the 4th floor.
2026
The Midica shop celebrates its 80th anniversary!
