Toulouse offers a range of options to help you enjoy the city more comfortably during hot weather. Drinking fountains and shaded parks allow you to tailor your visit, take breaks and stay cool throughout the day.

Fill up your water bottle

Drinking fountains

There are plenty of free drinking water points throughout the city centre. Near the main tourist attractions, drinking fountains and water refill points allow you to top up with fresh water during your visit. Check the map below to find them easily.

Take a break

Tourist Information Centre

During hot weather, the Toulouse Tourist Information Centre welcomes you to an air-conditioned space in the heart of the city centre. Take a seat on our benches for a few moments to rest, cool down and plan the rest of your day. Our visitor advisors are on hand to recommend sightseeing, activities and itineraries suited to the current temperatures.

Get out into the green

Parks and gardens

When temperatures rise, Toulouse’s parks and gardens offer pleasant spaces for a stroll, to relax or to take a break in the shade. From the Japanese Garden to the Jardin des Plantes, via the Prairie des Filtres, the city offers vast natural spaces right in the heart of the city. Awarded the ‘4 Fleurs’ label, Toulouse stands out for the quality of its landscaping and its commitment to biodiversity and cool green spaces.
