The Christmas Markets

The Grand Marché de Noël – Place du Capitole
From 27 November to 28 December 2025
The Place du Capitole is transformed into a veritable Christmas village, with its shopping stalls and illuminated decorations. You’ll also find other markets set up elsewhere in the city.
The treats on offer at the market will delight lovers of sweet and savoury treats, decorations, accessories, jewellery and toys in their thousands.
Can you smell the mulled wine tickling your nose, and further afield the melted cheese, chocolate and spices? Don’t leave the Christmas market without sampling the region’s star dish: aligot aveyronnais.

Designers’ market
From 27 November to 24 December 2025
In the middle of the Allées Jean-Jaurès, Les Ramblas is home to a Christmas market dedicated to local designers, craftspeople and producers. Come and stroll down “Elf Alley” and discover new designers every week, as well as enjoying a tasty treat in one of the two gourmet chalets.
Every day from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. From 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. On 24 December, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Artisanal and Community Market
From 29 November to 21 December 2025
The artisan and community market on the Allées Jules-Guesde invites you to buy responsibly. The scent of hot chestnuts and roasted pralines adds a touch of winter wonderland to the atmosphere. With Le Muséum and the Jardin des Plantes just around the corner, it’s the ideal outing for children. Combine all these aromas with music, song, fairy lights and maybe even Santa’s laughter… Ho! Ho! Ho!
From 11 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday. 9 p.m. for the guinguette. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 10 p.m. for the guinguette. Closing at 7.30 p.m. on 21 December.
Christmas magic

In the Square Charles-de-Gaulle, just behind the Capitole building, there is another Christmas market with a forest of fir trees and plenty of entertainment.

The Christmas tree merry-go-round
On the rue d’Alsace-Lorraine, take a ride on the fir-tree merry-go-round and marvel at the magic of Christmas from up above.
