VALENTIN POMMERAY TRIO

Through the pianist’s original compositions – having been immersed from a very young age in the melodies of Keith Jarrett, Paul Bley and Bill Evans – the group navigates the unpredictable, guided by keen musical intuition and a sincere desire to share their joy.

This trio was formed in 2020, following a meeting between Valentin Pommeray – winner of the national Jazz à Vannes competition, “Space Out” in 2015 – and Rémi Bouyssière – winner of the national Jazz à la Défense competition, member of Laurent Coulondre’s trio and the Léon Phal Quintet… – both lecturers in the jazz department at the Bordeaux Conservatoire.
Very soon, they met a key figure on the Bordeaux scene, Gaetan Diaz – winner of the Action Jazz competition, member of the Jeanne Michard Quintet and “Orquesta La Química”… – and the three found they clicked instantly.
