TOULOUSE POLARS DU SUD
About
The ‘Ville Rose’ is turning black! The International Festival of Crime and Noir Literature – your unmissable literary event to kick off the new season – is back! Once again this year, a dynamic duo will be patronising this edition: Valentine Imhof, a French author, and Abir Mukherjee, a British author.
They’ll be joined by around forty authors from France and abroad. To build the suspense, let’s mention Antoine Albertini, Frédéric Andréi, Anne-Gaëlle Balpe, Patrick Bard, Mathile Beaussault, Gwenaël Bulteau, Patrick Caujolle, Manu Causse, Catherine Cooper, Didier Daeninckx, Susana Fortes … and many more……
As every year, the ‘hors-les-murs’ festival kicks things off with a week of literary events. Across more than 70 venues in the Occitanie region, crime fiction takes centre stage in all its forms: screenings of noir short films in partnership with Séquence Court Métrage, events at the Municipal Archives, readings, writing workshops, and events at over a hundred media centres, public libraries, bookshops and works councils. Authors will also be meeting young readers in schools across the Occitanie region, from primary schools right through to universities.
