About
Mozart and Bruckner, often performed together in concert, are brought to life by another artistic duo, Tarmo Peltokoski and Mao Fujita. Beneath its light-hearted, even mischievous exterior, Mozart’s Concerto No. 27 (his final one) reveals a poetry that calls for the infinitely delicate touch of the Japanese pianist. Described as a ‘Brucknerian of the first order’, Tarmo Peltokoski counts this composer amongst those who inspire him most. A monumental work, his Symphony No. 5 represents a pinnacle to which Bruckner himself gave the nickname ‘Fantastic’.
