It is this subtle, gradual shift that intrigues Gabriel Sparti, who has opted for a musical theatre piece in the vein of Christoph Marthaler. From carefree happiness to authoritarianism, the director draws inspiration from real-life instances where folklore was hijacked and transformed into fascist propaganda. A play that is as funny as it is terrifying, exploring the threats that loom all around us.
