About
The mechanical bestiary becomes Nautilus, offering an extraordinary playground for Eric Ruf, a member and former director of the Comédie-Française.
Taking it in turns to play Captain Nemo, Professor Pierre Arronax, harpooner Ned Land and Commander Farragut, the actor will take you on a touring reading of selected passages from the novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Toulouse's mechanical bestiary comes to life between dog and wolf, to bring Jules Verne's words to life at the foot of Aéroflorale II and under the curious eye of the Minotaur.
The roar of engines, the tick-tock of machinery, creaks, explosions, flares, water mist, glowing braziers and clouds of smoke... bring the text to life. The Halle de La Machine becomes the living meeting point of two worlds: that of François Delaroziere and that of Jules Verne.
