Founded by Monic Cecconi-Botella and organised by the association Les Saisons de la Voix, the Gordes International Melody and Lied Competition has established itself as one of the key events for discovering young singers.
The four prize-winners gathered for this lunchtime concert – sopranos Faustine Egiziano and Thaïs Raï-Westphal, the baritones Pierre-Yves Cras and Benjamin Guilbaud, accompanied by the pianist Etienne Caron – bring with them the freshness and high standards of a rapidly emerging generation, wholly committed to this repertoire of rare poetic intensity.
