About

Come and meet men and women of passion: ceramists, cabinet-makers, glass-makers, weavers... These professionals will reveal their world to you and take you on a journey to the heart of the arts and crafts.

Take a stroll through the streets of Toulouse and learn about arts and crafts and living heritage. You're invited to touch, feel, smell and discover the richness of craftsmanship. On the programme: a series of workshops, guided tours and special meetings with passionate professionals.

One of the highlights will be a behind-the-scenes look at the conservation and restoration of polychrome and gilded wood sculptures and stone carvings, particularly in front of the Théâtre Garonne. You'll also be able to enjoy a meeting and demonstration with a ceramist at the Musée des Arts Précieux, learn about moulding at a hands-on workshop in a Toulouse studio, or explore the work of a metalwork lighting manufacturer. An immersion in the art of framing also awaits you at the Collection Bemberg, while a village of artisans will come to life at the Château de la Reynerie (still under construction), offering a rich panorama of local creations.

For details of all the events taking place in Toulouse Metropole, visit the Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art website.
