JOURNÉES DU PATRIMOINE AUX ARCHIVES DE LA CINÉMATHÈQUE DE TOULOUSE

The Toulouse Cinémathèque’s Conservation and Research Centre, located in Balma and opened in 2004, houses all of the institution’s film and non-film collections.

This weekend, it’s opening its doors to the public!

It houses over 50,000 catalogued film prints, as well as an impressive non-film collection: around 100,000 posters, over 600,000 photographs, press books, film cameras, and numerous original documents tracing the history of cinema.

On site, a team of around ten professionals works to conserve, preserve and restore this unique cinematic heritage, using specialised technical equipment.

A rare and valuable opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Toulouse Cinémathèque and get a closer look at the treasures it keeps hidden from view.

Booking by email. Bookings open from Monday 14 September to Friday 18 September at 12 noon. A confirmation email will be sent to you. Suitable for all ages from 10 years old. Duration of the tour: approximately 1½–2 hours.
