HANNU LINTU

Prokofiev’s version is one of the most successful, as it captures every nuance of the tragedy of the lovers of Verona, from the greatest tenderness to extreme violence. These fates cut short by tragedy give way to the joys and dramas that mark the lives of ordinary people. Rachmaninov depicts the major chapters that punctuate everyone’s existence, from childhood to death, in his four-movement choral symphony *The Bells*. The Orchestre du Capitole welcomes Hannu Lintu, a specialist in opera and ballet, for this dramatically inspired programme, alongside an exceptional line-up of Russian vocalists and the renowned Orfeón Donostiarra choir.
