FESTIVAL MARIONNETTISSIMO

Since its inception in 1990, it has evolved from a local festival into an international event, whilst remaining firmly rooted in the Toulouse area. This 29th edition runs for six days, offering a diverse cultural programme.

The programme offers a rich variety of experiences centred on puppetry and animated forms. Performances are staged at various venues in Tournefeuille, Toulouse and the Haute-Garonne, offering you a wide range of contemporary productions.

The “Impromptus”, the festival’s official ‘off-programme’, promise surprises with free performances in unusual venues such as media libraries, public spaces and cafés.

The festival also highlights professional networking events and the “Coulisses de la création” (Behind the Scenes of Creation), special opportunities for discussion and the presentation of projects between you and the artists. Workshops and cultural activities allow everyone to discover the art of puppetry, from manipulation and craft to the poetic world of puppets.

Finally, numerous events surrounding the festival – exhibitions, impromptu performances and local activities – round off this festive and welcoming programme.
