Synopsis:
Originally, the idea was to make a much darker film in which an alien terrorised a family in their home. And then came this complete U-turn. A bicycle ride against a moonlit backdrop and a gentle sense of nostalgia. A dreamy, solitary young boy takes in the friendliest alien in the history of cinema. E.T., a poignant fable about childhood with moments of real tension woven throughout. A humanist work touched by grace that goes straight to the heart.
