A leading figure in French opera, the tenor Cyrille Dubois combines elegance with versatility. At the Capitole, he has been acclaimed in Britten’s *The Rape of Lucretia* as well as in Mozart’s *Idomeneo* and Offenbach’s *Orpheus in the Underworld*.
With the Broadway Rhapsody programme, he reveals a new facet of his talent by drawing parallels between George Gershwin and Kurt Weill – two composers of the same generation who flourished amidst the artistic effervescence of New York in the 1930s to 1950s. Accompanied by the ArteCombo Ensemble, he invites us to a spectacular display in which voices and instruments unfold an infinite palette of colours: swing and grand lyricism, burlesque parodies and moving ballads, hidden gems waiting to be rediscovered and unforgettable hits. A journey through Broadway’s golden age!
