About

To kick off the orchestra's 40th anniversary celebrations in style, Jean-Marc Andrieu and Les Passions present a concert full of vitality and infectious enthusiasm.

Three masterpieces of the recorder repertoire accompanied by a string quartet. Music inspired by dance, lyrical melodies and instrumental virtuosity. Telemann's high-energy concerto, Sammartini's concerto for soprano recorder, whose sublime central Sicilienne illustrates Italian vocality, and finally Telemann's wild Suite in A Minor, considered to be the counterpart of J.-S. Bach's famous Suite in B. These are demanding, virtuoso works for the performers, with light, entertaining themes for the listeners.
