About
At the crossroads of sound and image, this programme invites the audience to go behind the scenes of cinema and uncover its hidden mechanics: those of sound.
Through two slapstick short films by Charlie Chaplin and George Jeske, the audience rediscovers a silent cinema, based entirely on gesture and rhythm. But here, the image is merely a starting point: very quickly, it becomes material to be played with.
