CHEMA MADOZ & HELENA ALMEIDA « DISEÑOS HABITADOS »

This exhibition reveals a rare and precious facet of the work of Helena Almeida and Chema Madoz: the place where ideas are constructed, sought out and transformed.

Conceived as an exploration of 'inhabited drawing', it highlights the essential role of the sketch, not just as a preparatory stage, but as a space for freedom and experimentation. These fragments of creation, sometimes never fully realised, have a force of their own and shed light on the way in which each artist shapes his or her visual language.

Somewhere between introspection and conceptual play, the works reveal two sensitive approaches to reality: on the one hand, a search for the body, presence and staging; on the other, a poetic transformation of objects and forms. The exhibition invites us to take a fresh look at photography, seen here as the culmination of a rich and nuanced mental and artistic process.
