The Canadian artist combines her two talents in this programme, which already heralds the festive madness. *Le Festin de l’araignée* weaves a musical web brimming with fantasy, which blossoms with the vivacity of Ravel’s *Concerto in G*. The exuberance reaches its peak with two works by Offenbach and Gershwin, first performed on the stages of Paris and New York respectively, and whose popularity has never waned. The Orchestre du Capitole is always delighted to welcome the Toulouse-born pianist Bertrand Chamayou, who is particularly brilliant in Ravel’s repertoire and a long-standing collaborator of Barbara Hannigan, with whom he has often performed in recitals.
