THEATRE SORANO
About
The Daniel Sorano theatre was constructed by the City of Toulouse in 1963, in an amphitheatre that had previously been used for teaching science. This theatre, with its façade in the style of a neoclassical temple, is an integral part of the Toulouse cityscape.
Its auditorium, which is modest in size (430 seats) has become a mythical place in the history of the city and the theatre.
The history and artistic adventure of the “Sorano” are rich and full of revivals. It was named after a great Toulousain actor who took his art on tour all over France in the 1950s.
