About
Synopsis:
A painter living in the hills travels down to the city to meet a great artist seeking a successor. It is there that he encounters the muse he has been searching for: the master’s daughter. *The Dragon Painter* explores the nature of artistic creation. Under the guise of a Japanese drama, Worthington explores the essence of creativity: what drives the artist to create, and what deters them from doing so? For Tatsu (Sessue Hayakawa, one of the first sex symbols in the history of American cinema, who ended his life as a Buddhist monk), the answer revolves around a single subject: women. It is she who inspires him, she who holds him back, and she who revives him.
Lina Belaïd, cello
Florent Lalet, saxophone
