Through the photographs of Jean Dieuzaide, André Cros, Jean Ribière, Claude Sarrieu and many others, discover the daily lives of ‘the people of the water’ – the boatmen. Their work transporting freight and passengers, and the places they frequented – ports, locks, quays and boats – are brought to life before your eyes.
