GIRLS DON'T CRY FESTIVAL

The festival is organised by the association La Petite, which works to promote gender equality in the arts and culture, and by its media outlet Girls Don’t Cry, which promotes the artistic work of people from gender minority groups.

The Girls Don’t Cry Festival is not a break but a fissure, a temporary zone of re-enchantment, a queer glitch in the matrix. We gather there every year as if rekindling a fire, as if entering a ceremony. Here we celebrate what overflows, what goes off the rails, what makes us tremble with excitement. Here we dance, we weep, we create a world where we can breathe more freely.

For three days, bodies invent new ways of being, new rhythms, new connections. Sound becomes a weapon, a manifesto, a cry of joy. And elsewhere, things flicker, whisper, surprise. Gestures emerge, materials come to life, voices rise. You’ll have to prick up your ears, open your eyes, follow the clues.
