About

Serge Pey takes over the Study and Heritage Library.

Discover *La parole des bâtons*, a permanent exhibition conceived by the Toulouse-based poet and visual artist Serge Pey. The result of an artist-in-residence programme running throughout the 2025–2026 season, the project takes over the 24 Art Deco display cases in the Study and Heritage Library.

Through his visual artworks, as well as books, manuscripts and personal archives donated to the library, Serge Pey brings his world into the city’s heritage. An exhibition that blends poetry, visual arts and memory to offer a fresh perspective on the work of this Toulouse-based artist.

Guided tours led by Serge Pey will take place on 19 and 20 September at 11.30 am, to mark European Heritage Days.
