NOUVEL AN MARTIEN À LA CITÉ DE L’ESPACE

The Cité de l’espace invites you to celebrate the Red Planet’s entry into its 39th year! An exceptional evening to discover the unique features of the Martian calendar and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of space exploration.

On the programme: a screening of the cult film *Mars Attacks!* in IMAX; an immersive experience on the Martian Terrain to meet the Perseverance and Zhurong rovers; a journey to the heart of the solar system at the Planetarium with *One Step Beyond: A Journey to Mars*; an interactive show; and a special evening exploring the challenges of Mars exploration. Talks, quizzes and discussions with scientists and enthusiasts round off the programme.

Throughout the day, you can also explore the activities centred on the Mars missions: the Idefix rover’s 3D terminal, a life-size model of ExoMars, a Pepakura workshop, the interactive game ‘Martian Highway Code’, an introduction to the technologies developed to combat Martian dust, and cosplayers wandering around.

And at 10.15 pm, it’s time for the big countdown: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Happy Martian New Year! An evening to learn, experiment and celebrate the Red Planet’s New Year together.
