About
From the language of contemporary playwrights to surprising
staging concepts, performed both in dedicated venues and off-site – from the Théâtre Garonne to its riverbanks, from the Jacobins’ refectory in *Pronomade(s)* to the Mas-d’Azil, from the Théâtre de la Cité to the much-missed Mix’art Myrys, from the Théâtre Sorano to the equally much-missed Pavillon Mazar, or, more recently, in the grand cloister of the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon for the Avignon Festival’s official selection.
So, for the final event in our city, with the loyal support of the Théâtre Sorano and the Théâtre Garonne, the Merci theatre group invites us to come and experience their savouring, ironic and joyful sarcasm: *Three Tales and a Few More; And Then They’re Gone*.
THREE TALES AND A FEW TTT
‘The vocabulary and body language currently in vogue amongst influencers are here assimilated by the world of fairy tales, and the synergy is miraculous. The show succeeds on both fronts: sifting through contemporary perversities through the lens of the #MeToo movement whilst remaining rooted in archetypes. (…) Secure in their performance space without ever losing their rhythm, the actors sparkle and skilfully bring to life the dark humour of these tales, so brilliantly reimagined.”
