This is the starting point that will lead the four performers to question the narratives we choose to construct, those we invent, those we recount, and those we decide to discard in order to move forward – or which fade away of their own accord, rendered invisible by silence. It is also an opportunity for them to re-examine their upbringings, the stories that make them who they are – whether true or false – and those they would like to pass on in the future.

Cabaret, re-enactments of scenes from popular culture, musicals… On the ever-shifting boundary between the realm of fiction and that of reality, I hope, through this performance, to understand how, throughout our lives, we deconstruct the narratives instilled in us at school or those rooted in our families: which stories endure, and what they reveal about us and the people we are becoming.
