Having explored the present in *Je m’en vais mais l’État demeure* and the past in *L’Abolition des privilèges*, Hugues Duchêne now transports us into the future with this new show.
In *I Expect Little, I Aspire to Much*, we follow the life of Arthur Cagniot-Duchêne, from the age of 10 to 60, through the political changes in France from 2027 to 2077. Hugues presents us with a political science-fiction tale set against a backdrop of recurring crises, the return of the monarchy, enforceable rights to sexual freedom and climate change. It captures the spirit of Royal Velours: sharp writing and a play that unfolds before our very eyes, with acting at its heart. A thrilling and liberating experience!
