*The Rat Hunt* is the story of a man and a woman who meet at a rubbish tip. He shares his favourite pastime with her: shooting rats with a pistol as they scurry amongst the rubbish.
In a dialogue that blends seduction, despair and confessions, two people discover one another as they part with their possessions. These objects are linked to stories that illustrate the hold that a consumer society has over two people who are struggling, as best they can, to get to know one another, to understand one another, and perhaps even to love one another.
