L’Écureuil Gourmand: the art of trompe-l’œil patisserie in the heart of Toulouse Nestled between the Victor-Hugo market and the city centre’s shopping streets, L’Écureuil Gourmand offers a gourmet interlude where patisserie becomes a true spectacle. Conceived by Priscillia and Nicolas Puech, this Toulouse establishment captivates with its trompe-l’œil creations, as surprising to look at as they are delicious to taste. Fruit, hazelnuts and citrus come to life in the form of refined desserts, revealing subtle flavour combinations and perfectly mastered textures. Set in an elegant décor with colours inspired by hazelnuts and sweet treats, the tea room offers a warm setting in which to enjoy a signature pastry or even an ice cream in summer!

The shop has also made a name for itself thanks to its signature pastry, the ‘Noisette Authentique’ – a nod to the shop’s iconic mascot – as well as a generous selection of cakes, chocolates, pastries and artisanal treats that change with the seasons.

In fine weather, the experience is extended with a selection of artisanal ice creams and sorbets to enjoy on the premises or take away. Made with the same commitment to quality and creativity as the pastries, they are the perfect complement to a gourmet break on the terrace or a snack whilst exploring Toulouse’s historic centre. The establishment has also developed a proper ice cream parlour and tea room, making this a popular spot all year round.
