LA NUIT DES ROIS

The plot of Twelfth Night or Whatever You Want is based on a transvestite: the main character, Viola, who is shipwrecked and believes her twin brother Sebastian to be dead, disguises herself as a man under the name Cesario to enter the service of Duke Orsino. This cross-dressing creates a series of misunderstandings and questions the standards and freedoms that society imposes on us according to our gender, in this case male or female, in the face of our own desires and aspirations. The very space of the play, like that of the stage, becomes the terrain where desire and appearance meet and collide.
