SEMAINE DES CULTURES URBAINES

The 7th edition of the Semaine des Cultures Urbaines, supported by the Conseil départemental, is once again taking place in Haute-Garonne. 18 communes will be hosting projects devised and run in collaboration with popular education structures, communes, associations and cultural venues.

Shows, concerts, workshops/initiatives, demonstrations, screenings, conferences and battles... this new edition continues to illustrate the wealth of urban practices: street art, beatbox, rap, slam, urban dance, deejaying, skateboarding, freestyle football... even allowing the fusion of styles between hip-hop and classical music or between breakdance and flamenco.

Entirely free of charge, this event is aimed at young people and families, and brings together the department's urban culture players and artists.

Medical and social facilities and schools will also be involved, with artistic and cultural activities for specific target groups identified as priorities by the local authority.

Enthusiasts, the initiated and the curious are all welcome!
