This show, a blend of theatre, music and poetry, is an accessible, intergenerational philosophical fable. Written in five acts and in alexandrines, the play combines actors and musicians on stage in a lively, immersive form.
When a French cat and an English pigeon meet in Paris and become friends, the whole relationship between prey and predator is turned upside down. They are quickly arrested for disturbing the natural order. The case goes to court, where Gigi, a little girl with a strong character, acts as defence counsel. Guilty or innocent? The question becomes even more complicated when plants and celestial forces get involved...
More than a hundred years after Edmond Rostand's Chanteclerc, the most unusual animals return to the stage to argue or fall in love in alexandrines, backed by musicians playing Rameau, Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Fauré and many others...
