CORDES ET LAMES

First up: Achrakyne, a contemporary work by Toulouse composer Benjamin Attahir, blending oriental traditions and modern musical language. This is followed by Danses de Presles by Étienne Perruchon, expressive tableaux with rhythms that are sometimes lively, sometimes meditative. As a climax, the musicians will perform a final tango in the arms of Astor Piazzolla's famous Four Seasons, here revisited in a version as surprising as it is spellbinding for string quartet and marimba.
